Would rather not waste time trying to take down videos that are 100% identical to mine
Youtube is a HUGE mental game. My psychology is this:
1) If you get monetized, post 3x/ day until your channel becomes self-sufficient meaning that it can pay for itself in videos.
2) Once it's self sufficient- that's when i would start posting every day.
My reasoning for this is because posting on YouTube is a REAL mind killer when, let's say for imagine, you post every single day and none of your video go viral? vs you spreading those 30 videos across 3 months, allowing the videos to age and allowing them an ample amount of time to appear in suggested.
Unless you're completely all in on youtube and can be resilient to the fact that your first few are going to flop; set your mindset on a slow & steady growth. This isn't a 1 month achievement thing- it definitely takes time!
Congrats on taking action though!
Publishing three times a day is not too much? Won't that upset the users?Youtube is a HUGE mental game. My psychology is this:

Another question, if it doesn't bother you, if I'm in a niche trend, is it better to keep publishing 3 times a week or daily?
I'm currently in one and my competitors are growing fast. And I barely get 20 sub a day.
i have some youtube channels i would like for you to check out and interest you in partnering. i have several niches and have VAs posting. let me know if we can discuss further. thanksUPDATE TIME:
----------------------------
So quite has happened since the last time i updated his journey.... January and December were completely flopped with devastation since my father unfortunately passed away. He was the biggest reason why i was doing what i was doing before and I miss him a lot.
It took me almost 5 weeks to just start getting back into reality but even so it's still so difficult. Definitely a milestone in life when you have to deal with the passing of someone that you're so close to. It really does suck...
Sorry, im going on a slight rant but more towards the actual journey:
I went ahead and partnered with another individual who already had a monetized channel to speed things up; he gets a % cut. I am now primary owner of the channel, own the email, and changed the adsense account to my own as well. Happy to say that I achieved two goals so far within the span of 2 months.
The Goals:
[x] Monetization enabled// Goal achieved by partnering with an individual.
[x] $100 per month // Goal achieved 2/15/20
[] $1,000 per month
[] $10,000 per month
[] $30,000 per month
[] Cover my parents' rent
[] Buy my brother a new iPad
The Plan:
The plan has changed DRASTICALLY...
Here's what im currently doing:
So again a lot has changed. I've changed the actual quality of my videos which equated to needing to onboard new individuals at a lot higher prices.
- Im only uploading a video every 2-5 days.
- Total videos uploaded since November: 15 videos
- Lowest viewed video: 6 views
- Highest viewed video: 100k views
- I have 1 script writer who is a machine ($0.015/word)
- I have 3 voiceover artists ($0.015/word)
- I have 5 video editors ($6/ minute)
- Thumbnails+ SEO done by me
Now this is the really cool thing:
- BECAUSE of my team, I was able to start my own Viral Video Marketing Agency to help fund my own videos. Currently, I have 9 clients on boarded who want anywhere from 10-30 videos per month each. I have my team working around the clock on mine and other people's videos as well. Per video I make a flat rate of a bout $25
. I'm currently learning trello and zapier to help automate this entire system!
The plan is to increase the consistency of uploading on my end though. In addition, i've been able to get a job working as a Physical Therapist home health perdiem. This combined with my Marketing agency should surely fund my videos quite well.
The Overhead:
30 videos/ month= $3,000/ month
vidIQ= $10/ month
Total cost: $3,010month
The Channel Statistics:
Channel was started on December 17, 2019
- 15 videos
- 3,000 subscribers
- 320k views total
- 12.5k hours watch time

If you guys have any questions, do comment below so others can read it as well incase they have the same question. Hoping that by the end of this year we can be hitting 50k for the month of December. Thanks for reading!
In this your niche 9, trending news, is one allowed to monetise news channel? Pls, could you explain how you do your research in this niche? News is a big and as such face much controversies, or you dont go into politics while giving the trending news, just wish you can expLain the process to avoid account ban.
Does it matter if i quote the sources of the news or not? Like giving credit. But i plan to come up with my words after reading what is trending from different sources. Just asking to ensure i do this correctly than attracting acc ban.
To see success with this, does it matter the age of the account, old or new account does it matter?
By the way, your journey is really helpful to many. Thank you and more success.
PEACE!!!
I could possibly check it out; send me a PMi have some youtube channels i would like for you to check out and interest you in partnering. i have several niches and have VAs posting. let me know if we can discuss further. thanks
Do you need to pay taxes in your country?
ok wengthemeng, thank you for the reply, so aged YouTube account is preferable.
ok, i don't mind getting an aged account, but the worries now is how you can change the name to what you have chosen for your name., this possible or you don't bother about the name of your channel
So, your research is based on the activities of an existing YouTube account of the same niche, ok, what about using google trends
Your story motivate me to start a youtube journey
I am also a medical student but my journey is a little bit different, in 2015 I owned a youtube channel that have 700k subscribers but after a few months youtube closed permanantly my channel.
Now I am willing to buy a new monetized youtube channel, post 5 videos per week and wait 1 year to see results
Take the leap man and get back on it! If you were able to hit 700k subscribers once , im sure you can do it again.
Did they tell you why they closed it?
