Like most of the answers in IM, it depends based on what you expect from them. But mostly, a Pinterest VA will be responsible for following things:

1. Pinterest profile optimization
2. Boards optimization
3. Creating attractive pins (a lots of them)
4. Pin them in a regular manner and constantly analyze what gets the best results
5. Join the right group boards and promote there
6. Use a scheduler like TailWind to automate & scale the winning strategy

There are a few other things but these are the essential ones.
