my dad is learning Java, what do you suggest to him?

I'm surprised that my dad is learning Java in the age of 57 years!! I hope he can keep this little motivation for a long time.

I asked him about his goals, (Why he learns Java) and he told me he would like to create videos to teach people Java and upload those videos to Youtube so he can make money ... (but honestly, he won't get anything from Youtube, the target is so small, especially that he will use Arabic language).

I told him so far to learn Reskin. (I have no idea if this still work today)

What do you think, do you have any other suggestion?

Ask him to first learn java and then android. If he is a dedicated guy, within one year he will be ready to design apps.

My dad is abnormally good at drawing and I can't get his ass to start doing something for real!

Show him some courses on Udemy, free one of course and let him start from there, he should get some idea.

yeah, that's exactly what I did. he's learning from Youtube now, but Youtube is not a good platform to learn, so I told him to take a look at Udemy as well.

It'd be very long curriculum if he wants to learn java to teach other people java (math skills especially), but java can be good for many other things like building softwares, apps etc...

If he wants to learn for that, there is a book called "Head First Java"... best and first book a Java learner should get.
