Hi webmasters and digital marketers, I want to start my career as a freelancer in digital marketing and SEO. Currently, I am very active in Upwork, Fiverr and exploring other freelancers websites also. Please give me some useful tips to get the first order. I am also ready to invest something into it because I am looking forward to opening my own digital marketing agency after serval years.

yes I have my own website but I am planning to get a project from local clients from my own website and from freelancing platform I am planning to get some international projects.

Build your own brand by blogging, blogging etc. As a freelancer, you need to stand out. You can build a website and show some research, etc, No matter what channel you choose, build your name.

Also, stick with a couple of platforms first (BHW marketplace or a freelancer marketplace) and learn what type of customers you have and what they need. This way, you will get better at improving your market offering.

For Upwork:

1. You need to read every and job description and submit a bid only if it falls under your skillset, and if you meet the employer's basic requirements. Blind bidding wouldn't work at all.

2. Also, make sure the profile is 100% complete as well as accurate.

3. Don't stop if your free connects are over; purchase more to continue bidding, you will surely get a good job if you will be consistent.

For Fiverr:

1. Once you are done creating the GIG, start promoting it with your network (Linkedin will be more useful).

2. Keep checking for Buyer requests and send your best offer.

3. Fiverr suggests that the seller should use the keywords relevant to the services they are offering in their gig's title, description and tags. It help improves their GIG ranking when buyers search for the services in that field.

Work on this suggestion, and you will gradually start getting results and make sure to be consistent and not to give up.

3. Read the client requirements properly and then submit your proposal accordingly.
