Show referral link as root domain only?

Hi guys,

Question: How do I change my referral link so it looks like the traffic is coming from my root domain only? Example below:

- example.com/lander (my website) sends traffic to my affiliate.

- I want my affiliate to only see traffic coming from my root domain: example.com

- I do not want my affiliate to see traffic coming from the full referral link (example.com/lander)

How do I accomplish this?

How are your affiliates seeing referral traffic now? What I mean by that is, are you providing a report or are they going into a tool?

Hi,

I do not provide a report.

My traffic clicks on their Ads, so I believe they have their own internal report of where the referring traffic is coming from.

Ah - if they are using their own internal tools, I don't know of a way to change this. Sorry, hopefully someone else has an answer.

If you are redirecting them with the help of PHP or javascript, you could most likely try modifying headers and changing referrer to your root domain, although that depends on how your affiliate network checks where your traffic came from.
