WP Showcase Store without store functionality?

What a smart way of building an ecommerce showcase store? The goal is not to sell products on the the site, just showcase the products and link to an external store like ebay or amazon etc.

Ive got a client that needs a couple of brand sites just for showcasing and i need to figure out how to build these in a smart way. Is it possible to get an ecommerce theme and just not install the woocommerce part and just have a nice designed showcase site? How would you do it?

Alright, hopefully someone with some knowledge on this can chip in. I think it should be possible but i suspect ill run into a couple of pitfalls and try a few themes before i find something suitable.

> Install and setup woocommerce normally.
> Upload products
> in products create a custom field (or use ACF) and past the link to eBay.
> create child theme > copy the listing php template and change buy button with link from meta tag

That could be a way.
Otherwise I’ve done it using posts, I created a theme and styled postS to look like products:

Thanks for the input, decided to bite the bullet and try it out. Bought the theme Flatsome, was recommended in another thread about Woocommerce here on BHW, also most popular ecommerce theme so figured id have a go at it.

Turns out it supports external shop out of the gate, so its super easy to set up like this! Yay!
