Google is using IP in addition to Flash cookies to track how many accounts you are creating. I tried this by clearing my Flash cookies and creating a new account and still I was asked for SMS verification. I changed my IP, cleared cookies and I was able to do it successfully.

Of course you need to change ip before anything else lol, i thought that was redundant to mention.

Don't forget that CCleaner doesn't automatically delete your Flash cookies. Make sure you click on the Applications tab and then check mark the Adobe Flash Player selection under Multimedia.

I made that mistake myself when I didn't know I needed to configure that.

And since Google records keystrokes, they can tell if a bot inputs all the characters at one time. The coolest Gmail creator I saw was with CLAD Genius. It mimics human-like keystrokes. Very clever.

Well I am on Dial up so I get a new IP everytime I log in and still I get SMS verification message. Seems like lots of people in are creating Gmail accounts using the same set of IPs.

Use for the secondairy email a reliable domain. The email does not have to a real one or your own. For example joeharding _at_ ibm.com
As far as I know gmail does not send a mail out with password and username or any other confirmation mail so it should not be a problem.
Since I use this method I never been asked again for my telephone number. And that is good since I used all mobile numbers I could get my hands on.

holy shit that worked! i have been trying for 6 weeks to make another gmail account, tried everything... new ip, clear cookies, clear flash cookies, nothing worked. i just entered a bullshit email for the secondary email without clearing cookies or changing ips (used the same ip and got sms verification earlier) and it worked.

thanks for this info! now if only there was a definitive way around craigslist's stupid PVAs...

I have some useful information for people who need multiple G--mail accounts without the hassle of creating a lot of gmail accounts. Lets says for instance you have a single GM account for example (john.smith)

1. (John.smith) - <-- Main Email
2. (John.s.mith
3. (John.sm.ith)
4. (John.smi.th)
5. (John.smit.h)

GM will ignore the (period) and automatically send all variations to the main email. The same could go for the second example I'm going to give you.

1. gmail - John.smith+runner
2. gmail - John.smith+waverun
3. gmail - John.smith+dirtbike

In this case the "+" is ignored by GM and you can put any word after the plus sign.

Now, If you send an email to any of those unique emails it would all get forwarded to the main one.
This is very useful for Craigslist and any other place that requires more email. This way you don't have to log into multiple emails you just check one and done!

Yep. I use this method with xrumer. you can even add many full stops. E.g. jo.hn.sm.ith and it works fine. When you register with sites, they all treat them as different email addresses and you only need the one google account.

You could have:
j.ohnsmith
j.o.hnsmith
j.oh.nsmith

etc etc. You can get 100s of different combinations, especially when you add the + as well. You therefore only need the one address!
