So I am officially skint, this isnt a guide. It's a question.

So I have over the past couple of days been building links on beauty forums to my website. I have been building links to the product pages, as a way to make the post look more legit.

Do you think this is the best way to build links though ? Do you think that if I build links to the homepage, that it would bring more value to my site in terms of link juice ?

The product pages, these are the only backlinks they have, all the other links I have built directly to the homepage.

Another question I have, is what amount of links do you think would be cool ?

Does anyone know how to get guest posts for free ?

Sorry for so many questions but I really need to get focused on my site and trying, as at this rate, I am going to end up homeless, as financially i am fucked at the moment and I need to do something. It's driving me nuts.

A free way of getting guest posts would be to write the actual guest post yourself (after reaching out), which can be a hassle unless you're really passionate about your niche.

Good luck with the link building, mate :)

Guest post for free? Facebook groups.

Link-Building does not have a "perfect way" just keep doing what you do until the moment you can afford some proper PBNs(Even though I wouldn't use), web 2.0(You can do these for free) then just manually build blog comments to those web 2.0 backlinks for more link-juice.

Ahm… There are some free methods which you can do. The first one I'd suggest is make sure you get some income in order to advance.

And if I was you, I wouldn't buy links, etc - I would invest my time and money into reading, learning, new knowledge. Why? Because it's 1000% way more worth than paying for services. You can create your own service based on what you learned, etc. Well this has no ending as there is a lot to say and explain.

Summary: Focus on what you like -> Get some income -> Pay for some really good courses(Learn a skill: Link Building, etc) then start selling it. This can advance into making friends, blogger friends, etc -> lead to getting backlinks for FREE, anytime.

Good luck mate!

A skill is way more worth than a services, trust me.

Getting a guest post for free is quite hard for now. But you can use your competitor backlinks. Use Ahrefs to get a list of backlinks from your competitors and then reach out to them one by one by saying that you want to do a guest post as your competitor did. Most of the time the admin of the site allows you to do that.

Hope this will help you. Best of luck.

I am thinking to try really small blogs.. However, I am not sure how to approach the blog owners. Do I just be like "hey, can i get a guest post" or is there more to it ?

I have tried web 2.0, some blog comments, forum links so far... However, they don't seem to have a lot of impact but the forum links I just started building.

Do you think the forum links would provide more value building them to the homepage ?

If you Google on Guest post outreach email temple then you will get a lot of examples. But make sure you write your own customized email template before reaching out. Try to use an eye-catchy email subject that people open with curious.

I'm on the same boat, build links for my new blog. Inexperienced in this field but every new day, new learning.
Try to do yourself rather than buying services. Lot of fun.

Tbh, if i had money, I would outsource it, due to the ease and less headache but since I don't, gonna have to dig deep and really give this a shot, as I need to get this shit sorted, as my competitors are really starting to get ahead of me... We all started the same products at same time but they are now way, way, way ahead of me and it's making me kick myself, not pushing harder. So gonna have to stop been lazy and do something, otherwise it's going to be one of those things, if I don't kick I am going to regret at a later date. However, I have to start somewhere.... would rather try and give it my best shot and loose, than not doing anything and regretting later on been lazy.

Thanks for that. Do you have any working scripts/pitches ? or whatever they are called ? Whats the best way of doing this, just searching google for beauty blogs and then messaging them ?

Look at their website and try to convince them that you can offer their readers value.
Use your marketing skills to convince them that it's worth their time.

Let say, you have published an article "Best Gaming Mouse for Big Hand" and now you have to find your competitors who are targeting this keyword. Once you found your competitors then check out their backlinks profiles for that exact posts using Ahrefs. Then reach out those sites who have given backlinks to your competitors sites. Tell them that your sites have similar articles and you want to do guest posts like your competitors. Make sure your site has good contents before reaching out them otherwise they might not reply you.

I suggest you to mix it up both home page and inner page keep it diverse.

No one can predict the numbers. But keep building links slow and stead from niche relevant sites. Building too many backlinks at a short period of time is unnatural.

Guest post turned to great business these days. So the answer is no for FREE.

While doing guest posts, the content is in your control but based on the target website, there are 3 types of backlinks that you can make:
1) The website is related to your website and hence the web page from where link is coming to you is also related (most powerful and websiet admins may ask you for money)
2) The website is in a shoulder niche but the web page from where link is coming to you is related
3) The website is in a completely different niche (some high DA website where you can post guest posts) and the web page is still relevant (easy to find by doing a google search for "auto approve guest posts website list" but these are less powerful)

You want to get a mix of links from all these 3 types of websites. Start with the 3rd type and move your way up to the 1st type of links.

If you are close to broke, its better you take a real job, and use this as your part time hobby, as you're unlikely to go from where you are.

New & broke to experienced and income within anything less than 6 months, slim chance realistically.
