what plugins Premium versions do you pay for?

curious , i am not satisfied with Wordfence basic version - got 2 sites hacked despite having it installed on both so not really want to pay for Premium one

I've been using Wordfence premium for years, never had any issues. If they are aware of any security issues premium users get an update almost immediately, free users have to wait a bit. That's a window of opportunity for hackers.

probably via some of my plugins, but i never had nulled shit
in both cases it was Japanese spam pages hack

From what've read Japanese spam links are generated without hacking a website unless they were directly injected into some of your posts. If you search this forum you should find a thread called 'how to get rid of Japanese spam links' or something like that.

As for plugins, keep them updated, I personally don't use any plugin that has not been updated in two or three years.

What happens lately, is that hackers scan for abandon plugins, buy them for peanuts, and inject their code, so on the surface, everything looks legit but it's not. The same goes for Chrome plugins.

Not gonna actually go through with it

Might be worth buying a functioning plugin and adding a link in the footer, whilst still providing a service to people, but still, it's a bit dodgy

Aside from getting immediate security updates, there are other benefits of the premium version. I'm not going to list them all but have to mention traffic blocking by country.

I only allow English traffic (the big 5, USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zeland) and block the Russian, Chinese just to mention a couple as I don't need it. That alone cuts the probability of my site being hacked by more or less 50%, saves me the bandwidth, and keeps my Google Analytics clean.
