Yes, You can use web 2.0 to your money site. Web 2.0 Links will be useful for link diversity. Make sure you are not having any footprints. You can't expect any dramatic changes in ranking with few web 2.0 links.

Yes, you can direct them to your money site... some web 2.0 wouldn't make much difference in ranks though.

Build your web 2.0 links manually. Make them as high quality as possible - lots of unique, niche relavant content. Place a link on the web 2.0 pointing back to your money site.

Those web 2.0 links are your Tier 1 links. They are pointing directly to your site so you want total control over them - which you have with web 2.0s as you can update the content, add or remove links etc.

Then, you point additional links to those web 2.0 links. These links will be your Tier 2 links. With these links you should still keep decent quality, but you can go a little higher volume with these links and you dont have to control the quality so tightly.

You can then point more links at even higher volume, to those links. These new links would be your tier 3 links. And so on. The idea being you end up with lots of link power being directed towards your website but its all coming in via a small number of high quality links that you have complete control over, and that look high quality.
