As you may already know, after India, the US government is considering banning the Chinese social media app TikTok, over allegations China is using the platform to spy on users. TikTok says it will stop operations in Hong Kong within a few days.

I personally don't like the dancing/challenges videos, but the platform also helps many artists and musicians grow their online presence during these difficult times. Unlike any other social media apps, TikTok pushes your content to thousands of people, which helps many smaller businesses grow fast.

Is this the beginning of the end?

maybe

In India, it's not a permanent ban. They could come back within a month or two
personally I don't like to use tik tok.
I did not like the app as well, until I realised how useful it can be for business and affiliate marketing. Took me months to join.

Its a permanent Ban I think
Nope, tiktok is like ashwathama, previously it ws banned due to same spy reason, tiktok will strike back , now due to border issue they r just resting haha.

i dont like 95% tiktok contents .

Could you elaborate on that a little more? :)
An account with 0 followers can get millions of views on a single video, which is quite difficult on platforms like YouTube, or Instagram. TikTok automatically pushes your content, no matter how big or small your account is. I started posting my artworks there, instead of me dancing to trending songs.

Took me less than 2 months to get over 150k followers. Some of them followed on Instagram, since it's linked there, and some % of them are potential clients. That's how the platform helps me grow as an artist/designer. I also live stream on TikTok, which is monetized.

You can do pretty much the same thing with affiliate marketing, and linking to your YouTube channel, instead of IG. There are multiple ways to use the platform for your business.

Many experts have high expectations on TikTok in digital marketing. Most likely this is a temporary ban because world-famous brands became its customers and this app overtook the market leaders in its segment. A good platform to attract relatively free traffic.

Other countries will follow the suit and Tiktok will be history soon

its crazy I hope its not the end. they just released their ad platform too.

I hate TikTok for it’s lame Video makers... (not all makers are lame)

Disclaimer: There are some good Creators too.
