I want to share a very simple strategy that I used in Google Ads.

Managing a client's campaigns, I noticed that his account spent almost the entire budget in the morning, with almost nothing left for the afternoon.

I deduced that this could also be happening to competitors. So I checked the campaign report to see what the competition was like in the afternoon, and it really was much less. So, in fact, I was right.

What's the trick here? As most of them wasted their entire budget in the morning, I decided to reserve some money to announce the afternoon, since the competition would be less.

I did the following:

1 - I duplicated my campaigns, leaving one running only in the morning, and the other running only in the afternoon.

2 - I divided the budget 50/50 between the periods.

3 - I ran the campaigns in the afternoon with a maximum CPC 30% lower than in the morning.

Results:

Almost 100% participation in the auctions in the afternoon, due to the fact that the competitors did not have a budget, as it was spent all morning.

A little less clicks in the morning, but it was already expected by the budget decrease.

A total volume of about 40% more clicks in general, due to some that came from the afternoon.

You are 100% right. Success in using GAds towards fulfilling the end goal, is all about common sense and business sense & analysis, rather than merely creating campaigns. Keep applying such out-of-the box types of analysis and you would get maximum results at minimum costs.

Now optimize your negative kws list too and u can see increase of conversions/actions.

he is talking about remove keywords that you dont want

for example

you are netlix if someone want free movies or warez movies maybe you dont want buy that traffic

or

if someone is searching for "red shoes" and you only sell blue, :)

yes but if they are to reduce the crap traffic that wont convert then why optimize them?

U use negatives in correct format to remove non-converting traffic cause u pay per click and when u can remove parts of keywords that r only informative or trigger too broad and not niche related traffic its good way to get rid of it.

Good idea, this even could work on other ppc systems for example amazon advertising. Thanks for sharing.

For sure! I agree with you. I do this kind of optimization too and I will write about it. Thanks for the feedback!

Certainly brother. Many people get stuck just inside the tool and forget to analyze the world outside.

The market always has the answers we need.

Thank you all for your feedback. ;)

I want to share more content of this type. Hope you like it.
