Do you know the difference between these two search operators? Is the second one search in the body while first one in URL?

inurl:

-inurl:

normaly the minus adds something as a negative keyword
----
example: baseball bat -amazon
(don't show me results with amazon in it)
----
Could be the same for -inurl but I'm not sure

It's an old trick but it doesn't return all URLs so it's not a replacement for ahrefs or semrush.

I always used -site: instead of -inurl: -- because if you have one of these stats or website analysis urls (e.g. abc.com.w3snoop.com/ -inurl would exclude them.
But I guess de gustibus non est disputandum

I just tried this but I don’t think it catches all the links to the same extent seo software do. I couldn’t find the ones I was looking in search that are listed on ahrefs? They are definitely indexed.

Am I doing something wrong?

As i was saying the SEO tools are more accurate and automates the entire proecess.

If a site have hundreds of posts this is really hard to find those hide pbn links using this trick. I try one url instead of the domain and doesn't work.

The - is a not operator. It makes query exclude results instead of including them.

For example, -mykeyword will exclude results with that keyword. -site:mysite.com will exclude results from that site, etc.

You're telling me that you tried "your.site/url" -site:your.site and it didin't work?
Let me guess: you tried "your.site/.url" -site:your.site/url , right?
