So, I've been here for a while now, almost a year to be exact.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I see a ton of people still making the same mistakes as me...

In the beginning, I was looking for a new method all the time. Once I saw something not working for a couple of days, I switched to another method I found on here. Even if one of my methods worked, but gave a small amount of $$$, I switched again.

Here's how to go about it instead;

Scale what's working for you - What's making someone else 200$/day doesn't mean you'll make that, or anywhere close to that. However, if you see a small amount of $$$, try scaling it! Most methods are scaleable, just think outside the box here. The most important part; look into how you can automate it. That's where the big money lies.

Master a platform - Once you have tried a bunch of methods, you will have knowledge on how to work most platforms out there. Pick one, and try to master it. Try different things on there, affiliate marketing, ecommerce, CPA, etc. etc. If you have mastered a platform, you'll be sure to see big $$$. Pick a scaleable platform though, not something like chat spamming for example...

Try it for a week - This is what I do usually. I come up with something I want to try, then try it for an entire week, instead of just a couple hours or a day. Chances are you won't get enough traffic to define if it's working or not in that short amount of time. Try it for an entire week, if it gives any $$$ at all, SCALE. *EDIT: More than a week if WH projects like Ecom, Blogging etc.

Working? Scale and move onto the next - You found something that's working well for you? Scale it! Then move to the next thing, and scale that. In the end you will have multiple income sources, it's important not to put all eggs in one basket.

Best of luck folks! Hope this widened some newbie eyes out there. I find it hard to stick to myself, but just push through :)

I like the stick to it message of the post but you suggest only 1 week? That doesnt sound like sticking to it to me but I may be wrong. Are you suggesting all IM methods should make money within a week? Even blogging?

Editing it, you're right. I'm referring to "instant-money" type of methods methods

best long term way is to master a social media platform/learn how to get traffic and monetize it (i'd suggest instagram or twitter) and you proceed to scale that by buying or creating more accounts and improving your method of getting yourself out there on the platform

users bring up ewhoring as quick money maker around here sometimes, ewhoring is not as profitable as it used to be anymore and not worth it now, dont waste ur time

Sticking to one income source is the right thing to do.

Take it as your life partner, are you going to divorce after your first week?

At least initially. It also depends on how much you "own" in that source. For example, if you are running an affiliate site, then you are most likely putting all your trust and faith in Google and their updates.

I agree that you should go fully into that website, but once it's bringing in money and seem to be stable - then you should start looking for more income streams via other channels. Because platforms can shut down, change their algorithms and so on. As people always say; you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket.

But I understand the thread is made for beginners, and in that case I fully agree - focus on one thing, one platform and one skill.

Good thread Dunderfjärten.

I twisted a 12 years old method. Its still working today. All the old methods ar working. Just twist. Scale the hell out of it.
Even fax spamming is still workimg. Olso sms. Flyers. Email. Ads. Bots. Every method is still alive. Even dripship or affiliate. The game is twisted everyday. Just twist a little more.

I would like to elaborate on this a bit.

  • You should diversify the traffic or customer source, and not the industry itself.
For example - If you are doing affiliate website SEO, you can start doing Pinterest marketing, then maybe youtube. Don't leave the affiliate industry as a whole.

This is what everyone should understand. So many people keep on asking how much you made in one day/what methods will work...

What if I attack it from all angles i.e. paid traffic + seo would that be a viable strategy?

So if big g comes and spoils you got a paid medium to monetize

Sure, it's all about risk management.

When I first started doing IM, I only had 2 sites in health. Both got kicked in the nuts by Medic update and stopped earning money. Both relied on Google.

If you can get traffic from Google, paid traffic, social media - it's awesome. Even better if you get doe from affiliate marketing and selling your own stuff.

It's all about being covered when shit hits the fan, and I don't want to be the one with brown freckles all over my face

I remember reading about some dude who was earning good money from Facebook groups or whatever it was. He had several groups and pages. Then Facebook killed the traction and over a night he had no income. It's not good relying on one thing like that.

Good advice, the most important thing is taking action and repeat for a while the method you are trying to make money

Thanks for your opinions. I think a newbie need try all things for many many times. If he trying and make mistake many times, he will learn all things again and in next day have been better. Good luck for All
