Hosting in Blogspot?

What you'll need to do is set up a "custom domain" in their system so that you can use your domain rather than their yoursite.blogspot.com domain. Typically, they'll provide you with CNAME/TXT records to add to your domain's DNS. I'd recommend contacting their support for further instructions.

First, you also need to make sure to register a domain name if you haven't already.

I have this very old personal blog on blogspot and I am still using their free domain.

Now I want to buy a domain so that I will not have this .blogspot.com on my domain, does they offer free hosting?

On my blogspot settings, it says "Purchase a domain"
You can purchase a domain on namecheap and add a cname. Its not hard

So basically, I will just mind the cost of the domain right? The hosting is free (from blogspot)?

Yes, you will pay the cost of the domain registration and renewal fee each year to keep the domain registered. Depending on where you've registered the domain, to put into perspective, a .com registration should set you back anywhere $8-$16 per year for the registration or renewal.

I haven't used blogspot in ages, but yes..should still be free. If unsure, contact their support.
