Website Sandbox Doubt

Hi all ,
I had a website with around 30 posts (all indexed by Google) . I had earned some backlinks for the same . But then i left working on the site and left the domain as it is .
Then finally i changed my hosting provider and moved all the content to my new blog . I haven't used the old domain yet . So the domain name is now 2 years old and lying idle .
My doubt is , if i again start publishing content on the old site , will it be again a sandbox for me ? In Ahref still i can see a da score of 0.2 for the same old domain .

Is the old domain still pointing at content, 404ing, or parked? Matt Diggity ran some interesting tests where it showed that domains that have been dormant for a while can still be effective. it is not a new site, it is an old site, and sandbox is believed to apply mostly to new sites.
so you should be fine, and old site should rank faster than totally new site.

sandbox perioud is per post, the older your website is the shorter this sandbox period is

hi , but there is no content in it . I even changed my hosting provider . So basically there is nothing in that site and one month back only i again made it live by updating the new nameservers . So u saying still the sandbox will not apply to this domain right ?

So, it was likely either 404'ing or pointing to a parked page. It's possible that you might struggle a bit in the beginning. You should recreate similar content on the exact same URLs that any links are pointing to, so you can get rid of the 404s they're probably generating. You want to avoid people deleting links to your site. I don't think you'll go through the 6-month sandbox that lots of sites seem to experience when new, but I won't expect it to bounce back instantly if you've been 404'ing the last 2 years. If it's only been a few months (it's hard to tell the timeline from the OP), then you're probably fine and won't experience many problems. Hope this helps.
