Yo, do you play any instruments?

i produce all kind of music but i don't know how to play any real instruments

i only know how to play come as you are on guitar and thats all

I know a bit of guitar as well, but nothing compared to what the "musicians" would play lol. Recently bought a midi keyboard, and I am trying to learn some music theory these days. As for learning guitar, it took me quite a while actually. I learned it back in college days, and I am not exactly sure; but it probably took me more than a year to learn the basic chords and scales; and be able to play rhythm.

Honestly, Why not get both? If you scope the used\classified listings I'm sure you can get some great deals. This COVID stuff has jacked up prices people post things for, but you still see occasional things come up for cheap.

Why get both? Because at this point you need to discover what your "thing" is -- what feels best for you, what you most enjoy the sound and feel of. Once you know, and something feels "right", then you can go out and splurge on some new pro gear eventually.

Look at it this way: You can get something used, affordable, test the waters, and then if you really don't like one of them then resell them at cost or $10 cheaper or something. Consider it a 'used rental' of sorts.

I picked up both (MIDI keyboard and electric guitar), from classified sites -- Keyboard ran me I think $40, the Guitar w/Amp package (normally over $300) I scored for $90. I ended up loving both, but I bought knowing full well I could have resold the guitar no problem for even more than I got it for.

Well, im not from a small south asian country where there is no Craigslist and there is not a lot of used stuff on sale. I was looking at the prices and i think i might be able to afford it. Super excited.

When I was in school I wanted to play the Obo but this other dick in the class picked is so I choose clarinet.. played that for 2-3 years while in school enjoyed it but then moved over to alto saxophone! Played that for a good few years not picked one up since learn't to pay.

I managed to learn the two best bits of music I think are out there on both instraments.

- Baker Street

I doubt now I could even get the reed right between my lips to puff out a tune!

I could never get into guitar or piano tried both. I used to be OK on the drums as much as I love music now I just can't pick up an instrument anymore got no interest in it at all.

1000000% easier than a MIDI keyboard that I used to use as it makes impossible to play out of key.

And although I recommend buying any packs you end up using in releases, you can try most of them out from torrents here: https://audioplugin.net/ (Lots of good hip hop ones)

You'll also need a good mixing suite, I recommend FabFilter.

Played piano since I was about 8, but then mostly stopped at around 17. I still play on occasion, but not often I played trumpet in school, from age 11 to age 18. I played the French horn from ages 16 to age 18. I've off-and-on played an acoustic guitar from age 22 until about 30.

Nothing really these days, unless I walk by a piano or keyboard while out.

You are always improving and looking for new challenges, the important thing is not to give up in the beginning, when your fingers hurt and it seems that you will never learn lol

I don't actively play any instruments at the moment.

I used to play the piano before my wrist tumour. I can still play it a bit, but it's not been the same, even after the surgery. I used to play the electric guitar as well, but I haven't played in a couple of years.

damn, impossible to play out of key you say?

It locks the tap points to whichever scale you are composing in so every "button" is a key in the scale. When you switch scales, it shifts all the buttons to the new set, so you can never accidentally hit a wrong key, if that makes sense.
