I live in the UK and one of my dreams had always been to open a chic vegan cafe/takeaway. I would love to be able to open one where after hours we have a basement where we host inspirational entertainment nights and hosted talks and presentations from guests with insightful social/ethical motives and incentives and parties where we host the music but people are allowed to bring their own weed. So basically they pay us for food/drink on premises but the weed the they consume is "byow".

I know smoking weed is illegal but since we as the premises owners are not selling or endorsing the consumption, would it still be legally problematic?

Selling weed is! As long as your customers weren't buying on grounds and only had a small stash, it them that would get a caution. Smoking anything indoors in the UK is a whole other legal problem, since the smoking ban.

I hope to visit certain dutch niches in amsterdam soon, maybe for my 18th birthday and asses the set-ups of one that only allow vaping, seeing if some thing like this can be put to use without complicating legalities further

Glad you are feeling it! Idea is from a small clothing line that specialises in sustainable fabrics with a message to match that really involved underground music scenes to help spread their message like anti-monsanto was big with them at one point. I'm not a big fan of urban music i prefer listening to tropical rainfall or morning birds sing but the kind of thing they do works so why not
Hoping we can introduce a live band once a month, guest talk once a fortnight or so, once a month something like a entheogen night where we bring in someone who specialises in ayahuasaca use, that type of thing and casual lounge nights where we promote our own in house stuff, food/drink etc.. whenever, emphasising the culinary finesse and nutritional abundance.... healthy and pure made with plenty of passion for all things green and good!
