This is not a phishing email. LOL. That mail directly came from "[email protected]" and the login link is also fine to me.
and besides, If it was fake, I wouldn't even see it on the PP resolution center... D;

Yes thats not a phishing email but agent messed up email.

Paypal cracking down stealth accounts lately, i had face similar issue and you can do nothing about it - it is permanently closed.

As others suggest avoid USA paypal, Try any other country .

I don't understand why people always bitching about Paypal when they actually violate their TOS and commits a serious crime called IDENTITY THEFT. People went to jail in my country for this.

Couldn't agree more. I had my problems with PayPal myself, but it was indeed because I violated their TOS, and I was not 18 at the time. Never had a problem with my legit account afterwards - they asked for verification after reaching the 2.5k € limit, verified and so far so good.

hmmmm something doesn't make sense here OP! I've received warnings from paypal before and none of them are from " [email protected]" email. Its something along the line of compliance*****@paypal.com .

Also the email is full of grammar mistakes .
If you see it in your resolution center then fair enough its a legit email from PP but if not then its deffo phishing

All of these emails are sent from a pre-written text by paypal! An agent doesn't sit down and write every single email .

Possibly same SSN is linked to real account holder too.

Real ssn? That is stolen id so stay away from that. And it also looks like a pishing email too many errors

You should be glad that they caught you in the beginning. It would happen sooner or later. Stay away from US accounts, it is almost impossible to get away with a new account.
