Youtube View-Botting: Effective to get recommended to more users?

Is youtube view-botting (multiple proxies and accounts to increase watchtime on your own videos) effective in getting youtube to recommend it to more people?

I imagine a drawback is you'd have to make the accounts' profile similar to your target audience (hard to do), and that if youtube finds out your accounts/watch-time will be removed.

Is youtube view-botting worth it, or what other types of promotion would you suggest?

in the past that could work, but since we don't live in the past, fake views will just bury your video since youtube looks for more and more stuff...
but again, don't take my word for it, you can find those views (usually cheap) on many smm panels.
test them on some dummy account, you will be able to get views and watch-time (it may be removed later)
i know that some adding millions of views that way, but then their video get 0 daily traffic (organic).

You know people who have spent 1grand or more on 1 Million Fake Views and they get 0 traffic?

You see the problem is he should of Paid $ to get his video posted on a more Popular channel other then his own.
Then on this popular channel you Buy the views comments, likes etc. Get the views into the millions.
Once people From this popular channel see the numbers you are doing (make sure everything looks legit view to comment ratio and so on)
People will then get curious and start writing about you, posting your stuff, and subscribe to your channel therefor bringing in Organic traffic.

So Say you make Music videos right?
You obviously need to make a legit music video. then sumbit that video to get uploaded on say for example a channel called "TRASH" basically that channel takes submissions of up and coming artists. They will review your video. If its good and they like it they will post in on there channel and there subscriber count is well over 2 million.

Once you get your video posted you drop about 1.8K USD and get it to 1 million views.
People subscribed to him will see that. Click your channel and subscribe.

yes @Kyle Martinez, i know many people that spending on 1M views orders, most of them are music video owners or professional promoters that promote music videos for artists.
most of them don't know what they buy on this chaotic smm-market...

i always tell them to do small tests to analyze the traffic before they invest on 1M views or more, just to make sure that the visitors they get are human with eyes and ears that can engage with their music video,
some of them don't care since they just want social proof...
but what if those 1M will drop later...after 7 days...after 30 days, will they refill? lifetime? by who? the great-grandchild of the provider/reseller?

anyway if they look carefully through the messed world of fake descriptions and test it, they may find a good service and stick with it, many jump from one service to another with the same music video
that is something that can hurt the video/channel , they underestimate YouTube's ability to recognize traffic patterns, months later they will post here "why can't get their video suggested, trended, ranked"

we all have them there even free in members download there not working it more then a view now it IP quilty as well.

like a lot of bots can not get the proxy cheap enough to profit.

1 IP is 1 view but 1 solid IP can cost $2 don't add up so we all gave up.

you need virgin IP but also on all different subnets

they can still work, but only if you know what you're doing.
for example if your aim is to get a channel up to speed with monetization requirements then fake views would help a ton.
but if you're buying fake views in hope to reach organic views then you're just hurting your own channel; especially if your channel ain't established yet (few organic subscribers that actually watch your content).

Exactly! but fair warning, yes, fake views will get you the desired 4000 hours, with them you may get accepted to the YPP, but in case of drop on those fake views, the fake watch-time will drop too and the channel get demonetized, this may raise a flag... that happened recently to some members here
