Hi,

This easy trick can make you determine wheather to work in a niche or not by finding if your competitors are making sales or not.

Have you noticed something?
Shopify displayes the exact number of orders made in their stores + 1000.
If there's a new store that uses shopify it will start from thousand.

In the example in this image, this store got 87 sales.

So, The method is basically:
finding a competitor who uses shopify.
Choosing the lowest priced item.
Making an order.
You now found the number of sales.
Asking for a refund.

Note: the number displayed in shopify is the number of sales made in this store not for a specific product.

Thanks

Shopify displayes the exact number of orders made in their stores.
If there's a new store that uses shopify it will start from zero.

So, The method is basically:
finding a competitor who uses shopify.
Choosing the lowest priced item.
Making an order.
You now found the number of sales.
Asking for a refund.

Are you taking about the order number?

So spend money ~$12 on each store to find the one performing well.
Then request refund for all 100 stores

I like this method!
Why spend?. You just need to ask to cancel the order. I find it better than spending 1000$ in facebook for the new phase to make sure the product works.

87 sales in what timeframe ?

a day
a week
a month
a year

useless that number if you don't know the timeframe

Is this method still working for you ?

this technique not actually work when you start selling every person have different product winning so always try to find problem solution product its makes you profitable

To find out if a Shopify store is selling well, you can use competitor analysis tools (like PPSPY, Koala Inspector) to view sales reports for the past 15 days.

That's a pretty clever workaround for checking competitor sales, though doing a refund just to snoop feels a bit ethically gray, to be honest. While it's a neat hack for market research, personally I'd rather focus that energy on building something unique than just copying what others are doing
