Howto deal with a content spinner

I came across another blog that is manually spinning my (and others) high ranking articles. Normally that wouldn't afraid me, but he managed to out-rank me with two articles, which is costing me money of course.

I have spend to much time today researching his blog, and from what I have found he is copying the same content structure from the number one on a given keyword. Same subheadings, same list (only re-ordered), and pretty much the same page titles. He re-writes every article completely, maybe add a little bit from himself, but it is really obvious that he is copying the work from others.

So how do I take this guy down? He doesn't have any contact details on his site, can't find anything on his name and he is hosting his site at Amazon.

Can something like this be taken down with a DMCA complaint at Google or do I need to take another approach on this?

I suggest you to write content for your visitor's not for search engine, if you can do this you can you easily break your competitor strategies

Looks to me like he is a pretty smart kid. Not breaking his head about learning SEO from the gurus..Well I am not supporting plagiarism but hey, its the internet..there is little you can do about it. Infact, I will suggest you copy his strategy somewhat (not wholesale plagiarism like this) and add some twists of your own.

Why not u build some backlinks to your original content. By doing so you can easily beat him. And don't worry about the copy content, there are lots of other things in serp/SEO where you can beat him by using whitehat technique's.

There´s no much you can do mate. Just keep focusing on building high-quality and relevant articles targeting your audience.

If he publishes a new, unique, and spun content well, one thing I would do is update that article and make it even better.

Also, beat his ass by building extremely high-quality and relevant links and, if he does the same, contact all webmasters from the domain link to him and let them down what he´s doing.

Perhaps this video from the guys at Income School can help you out. They found themselves in a very similar situation and what they did was pretty cool...

He re-writes every article completely, maybe add a little bit from himself, but it is really obvious that he is copying the work from others.

Study his site: backlink profile, size of site, lenght of articles, internal site structure and see why he's outranking you.

Also, as others have said already, try to copy his strategy. See what extra he added to his site and edit your less-than-optimal performing articles with what you learned from his website and apply it to new articles.

Take the fact that he outranked you as a favor to make you realize there is room to improve your website.

Why not create another website and spin your own content there before them, by copying their strategy...

If you have DCMA tag on your site then you can take down his blog. DCMA will really help for sure.

Thanks for the help full information. I will definitely start working on my own articles.

Mean while I have contacted Ezoic, which he is using for his site.
I just came from Ezoic and had a good contact there. They aren't happy with the situation either, so they are working on it from there end.

I also reported one page to Google, a DMCA take down request if I am correct. Will see how that turns out.

Ignore it and focus on your part. Get relevant and quality backlinks from the websites having high domain authority. Getting a few good backlinks will gradually increase your site's DA, then you will be able to outrank any of your competitor with every good and fresh content published.

By using Ahref's backlink checker you can get the list from where he is getting backlinks, and you can also create the backlinks on those sites as long as it is relevant your content and having high DA.
