I have listed one of my domain in GoDaddy market place, today I got a mail from GoDaddy it's like - Someone's interested in your domain
tempsnipsch.png

then I replied to ask their quote, I have listed that domain for $1700 but he is offering me $50k.
he told himself a domain broker.
he is asking for some shot of certificate, and he said Your buyer is a corporation, Your domain will be used to generate traffic to their new multi-million dollar web project so they offer a good price. They will pay you via the Escrow.com

What do you think guys?? does it sounds like a scam?
let me know your feedback and suggestions

It looks like a scam... if they need, they must be quote something higher than your quoted amount, no need to quote like 50K USD to attract your attention....

stay away from these kind of scams!

sounds like a scam. Either he is gonna ask you to send him some "fee" amount upfront or he is gonna try and use a scam site to get your money.

I would stay away

And what's there to lose?

Just don't transfer anything until you've got the money.
SCAM! ive received that email before

Scam he will ask for an appraisal on a random unknown site and leave with your $100.
It does not sound like a scam.

It is a SCAM!!

You seems to be new into the business, this scam is going on from years and almost every domainer know about it.

Certificate = Scam

Well, I take my words back.

You don't have to buy any certificates in order to sell a domain.

It's a scam bro.

I face this situation many times..

It's like Nigeria price scammer..
You need to pay the releasing fees $10k-$20k to immigration in order to receive huge amount of money let say $1m - $10m

Just like this domain scam scheme. You need to pay the appraisal cost to some random guy $1000-$2000 in order to receive $50k

The red part is how they earn the money.

I think it goes without saying as literally everyone else has said the same thing
This is 10000% a scam
If you want to mess up with them tell them you're with the FBI and you're tracking their IP and contacted the local authorities.
