I created one, but it looks like the contextual link is no-follow according to the Moz toolbar. Internal links are do-follow and external are no-follow.

Still, no-follows are still good in the mix too and this is one of the best. Thanks dude!

I definitely remember hearing something said directly by Google. Maybe it was John Mueller that said it. I did find where he said marking OBL from a site as nofollow won't help the site's ranking at https://www.digitalinformationworld...tbound-links-as-nofollow-is-not-worth-it.html . Now I need to find it since I'm positive I remember something about NF links counting at least a little.

Ok, I found this on YouTube from the Google Webmasters channel where John Mueller says there a policy change that some signals can pass through NF but at that time there was no definitive change. Jump to around 17:22 in to see that one part if you're interested.

So they didn't officially say much but the thought I believe was that at some point no-follow could help at least a little bit.

NF links help for at least one reason: if you only have do-follow, then this is a red flag, so you need some NF.
This being said, many SEOs have always thought wikipedia NF pass some authority anyway.
There are even people who sell them.

Yeah, don't worry y'all!

My link got indexed for a lot of time and it's still there! Just write something DECENT with 1/2 links to your money site.

Make sure you re-check, maybe try to ping the link with some TIER 2 backlinks if doesn't get indexed. (Or just make a blogspot, boom it with GSA and add links for indexing)

Yeah, it will get indexed. You can spam it with some GSA links to help the indexing / create a blogspot, blast it with GSA + add links to index(indexing)
