Checking old domain history one by one?

Hi there,

I'm looking for good old domains at Expired Domains every day, but it takes time to check the operation history on Wyback Machine.

It's really tiring to see all the domain histories one by one.

Do you see all the histories in details one by one?

If you find it tiresome, buy expired domains from seller.

I would also advise buying the domain from a reputable seller.

If it takes you a long time to check the page in the Wayback machine, maybe you should consider doing that after all other metrics are ok.
It also depends on the situation if you want to just check the niche or to restore old content.

It is a matter of practice. Once you have experience, it goes much faster to know if a domain is shit or not. But yes looking through hundreds of histories is going to be needed if you want to understand about expired domains.

And yes SEO is tiring I would say.

Yes, to get better one you need to look for the history of site. Of course it will take solid time, but you can get the right one. Also check with their backlinks and anchors. You can also try marketplace.

In the checking process, this is a must. Let's say you found an expired domain, with history since 2014. You can check it by year, by clicking on random dates ( June 2013 - this year is mandatory because it's the year when the exp site goes live + [month] 2014 + [month] 2015... and so ). You can also skip 1-2 years and go directory to [month] 2015, but it's better to check each year of it. This is how I proceed.

It's better to check all the histories. I use a tool called Domain Tensei(domain tensei old domain screening tool) to save my time. You can see the domain history of multiple domains at once with the tool, so it's very handy!
