Hey guys,
I want to test out a hypothesis if clicking on Google search results increase rankings.
It is not a new topic but I am unable to find a concrete answer to this question. So I want to do test it out myself.
So here is what I plan to do:
1. Create a bot in Python using Selenium.
2. The Bot will access Google using premium proxies. I'll be only using premium proxies especially sold for such purposes. The Proxies will be geo targetted.
3. Once the search is performed it will click on competitor results at random but quickly press back button to increase bounce rate
4. It will then click on the target page and perform various actions such as visiting more pages, adding items to cart, etc.
5. A lot of randomnesses will be added such as page scrolling, mouse clicks, searching for other nonrelated keywords, random user-agent, etc
I'll start with a few target pages of someone else's website to see if the ranking increases. If it works then I'll use it on my own site.
Once I have a concrete answer I'll post it here but then I'll delete the thread if the outcome is positive. Don't want to ruin a good thing for obvious reasons.
Does anyone have any suggestions to make it better?
If you want to receive results of my experiment then reply to this thread to stay in the loop.
