how would you estimate 1000 US daily traffic for Amazon Aff site with an average item price 70$ and more or less average CR metrics?
never tried Amazon sites and its metrics and can't calculate here

If we use average metrics of 8% and assume the Amazon product category has a 3% commission, you get:

Niche = Home
Average product price = $70
Amazon commission = 3%
CTR = 8%
CR = 8%

This translates in to the below formula.

1,000 / (70 * 3% * 8% * 8%)

So how many page views do you need to make $1000?

Plug that in to Excel and you need 74,404 page views per month to earn $1000 from that site.

Or to answer your question: 1,000 daily traffic would give you a monthly earnings of $403.22

Not bad, double the traffic and improve your CTR and CR and you have a $1000 a month site.

I spend days researching and writing them. This one took about 2 days to complete, I am working on another one and it has taken a few weeks so far, and I am only 2/3 of the way through.

No stealing, my process is simple:

I either think about what I do on a day to day basis for SEO, and if I think it might help others I share it, or I think about the questions I would have liked answered in detail when I was starting out, and write them up.

I think this is the 11th guide I have written and shared for FREE on BHW over the last 5 months.

Hopefully they continue to help members.

8% CTR is indeed loser's result, so let it be 15% and CR 8% (as i understand, it is normal for Amazon?)

with 70$ per product and 3% commision it will be 25$ per day from 1000 uniques and 750$ per month
if Amazon would ve not reduced the previous comission rate it would be 1500$ per month with this traffic - same as i had with CPA
so you are right overal CPA now is twice more profitable

generally i understand those guys who are not ready to put a lot of efforts in traffic growth and get mediocre amazon earnings

Great guide, personally i prefer amazon affiliate, easy to build niche a amazon niche site. Also, most well paying cpa networks approve you only you have grown site and if you are in starting, amazon is the best imo.

Tend to agree with this myself. CPA has become more interesting given the recent commission cuts.

I expect this to be on the weekly newsletter as well as sticky.

I can have a look at doing that. There are quite a few methods, which when you know them, you will never have to worry about what project to work on next. This was probably my biggest issue when I started, now I do not have enough time to go after them.

but people can't blindly follow this guide.
For example, i have one website with over 40 mil impressions and i barely get $2k
With one small blog i got around $500 monthly, and i have not more than 2000 views.
And my last example is very close with numbers to you, i have in mmo niche around 50k visitors, 90k pv, and almost no profit at all. Only adsense.
