How could i know if my site was hacked?

i`m building a marketplace and a few days ago i found an extrange extension on the link i`m using for home, it could be because i forgot to change the option to show beauty links or maybe because i`m using woocommerce, or whatever.
So i just changed the option in wordpress but it looks the same domain .com/?v=5bc574a47246

thats not extrange enough though but looking if i have any backlink (in a fairly new domain, that does not existed before as long as i can see) sudenly i have a backlink from an arab site claiming my site was hacked.

What should i look for to see if my site is effectively hacked and if my project is compromised?
I'm using woocomeerce + wcfm + a local hosting that is probing to be very bad.

Usually it will be like above is some idiots hack it to make fun, else you might see ads on it which are not yours, or pages on it created to phish bank accounts or something. Or hidden backlinks on it created at footer or somewhere with very small letters and color similar to the background so they may be barely visible.

if you notice anything suspicious, contact your host provider to run their scanning for malware on it. It might detect it too.

Usually you're not targeted - there are automated programs that crawl the Internet and just use whatever security issue a site has to 'hack' it. Nevertheless, this means that there is a security issue with your site. Make sure that your scripts are up to date, you use strong passwords, etc. As your site has already been hacked, I'd suggest to wipe it (or restore from backup to a date before it was hacked) and then immediately make sure that you update everything.

I`ll need to rebuild the site, maybe. Luckyly is not too old so might not be a huge problem.

i did not see anything like that till now, and themes are official, so should be ok in that aspect.

most likely you're using nulled wp plugin or themes with malware code, you can download Wordfence and scan your site to see if its infected.
