Desktop Notifications

I would really love to see BHW enabling desktop notifications. Especially, an indicator on the browser tab.

I don´t know about you guys but, I have BHW tab as "fixed" on my browser window (as well as other tabs) and, there´s a forum that has this features and a number appears right next to the favicon notifying me there´s an update that fits my alerts configuration.

If this is a long-shot, I would settle for desktop notifications.

Sorry if this was proposed before. I ran a search and couldn´t find anything.

I also have it turn it on but I don´t check my phone often but, I am almost always in front of my PC so, I would like (at least) to have this option available.

It´s pretty cool how I am working on something and I see a small number right by the favicon on this other site. I know this will add a bit more procrastination to my daily routine but I just enjoy been on top of everything that goes on here. Particularly with the free reviews copies, watched threads, etc.

@yakuzaemme made a desktop notification program that provides you with customizable notifications based on kws.

I will have a look for the thread in a min and share it here when I find it.

Oh yeah, I remember using that app when it came out. I was on top of freebies and giveaways It was working like a charm.

Unfortunately, all download links aren´t working and, even though if they did. I would still like to see that feature as a default with the new forum.

If it isn´t added then, I don´t mind using that app again.

@yakuzaemme the app is not working anymore for me.

I even changed the password on my account because I thought I was typing it wrong and still, I am not able to get it going.

We’ve released a way for BHW members to create their very own personalised home page. For the time being, it’s only available to paid members, so that they can play with it and test our resources before we consider making it available to anyone else.

Find out more about this new functionality with our detailed walkthrough and video.

It also updates the alert icon number automatically for you.

We also have push notifications for the browsers as well.

With 2.0 you can now enable push notifications for the following activities.

Simply visit https://www.blackhatworld.com/account/preferences to enable the option and then review which notifications you'd like to receive.

Don't forget to hit the enable notifications bar at the bottom of the browser.

To disable push notifications simply visit the preferences page again and click on "Disable push notifications."
