There is a difference between shilling and genuinely recommending someone. Being a member here for years..We have an idea who are expert on things from the contributions they make here. Plus previous experience from buying/using them.

It is a win for the client's side too. If few people recommend the same person - there a good chance that person is good at what he is doing.

It is insane, I have to argue with you on this. LOL.

Totally agree with your comment ( I highlighted in red ) above.

The big difference is there are people blindly recommending people who have never tried, bought or tested their services.

If someone said to you, suggest to me a great restaurant for a traditional pizza, are you going to suggest Big Frankys down the road, despite you've never eaten there?

Or someone wants to buy a new car, do you suggest one you have driven and liked, or just pick a random make & model, just to comment?

Staff are aware that sometimes people post just for the sake of posting ( also to show off their signatures ) and never really offer any new information nor value.

Asking questions and getting them answered is not a benefit? Okay.
Exactly, it is a benefit. It applies for everyone including the paid members. :)

You have the signature space to advertise, anyway. There doesn't have to be a self plug in the answer.

Edit: Also... Somebody doesn't have advertise somebody else outside the BST/HAF/WTB.

Otherwise, what's wrong with somebody self plugging his own service the same way?

Also only a stupid seller and a even stupider person would try and tag for commission, I have said this before there’re more detectives out here then in the actual world, so I don’t think anyone will pay or work for such commission but if you yet feel this way hit the report button hard and let justice be served

I understand what you are saying. The same (pushing signature banners) applies to introduction/lounge/journey threads as well.
It is something staff are aware and i get it, it is difficult to identify which is which.

So what's the verdict? Can we or can we not tag people on HAF, WTB threads?

I understand we have to follow the rules even though we personally don't agree with it.

I'll wait till an Admin makes the final call, but from my perspective, you should only reply in HAF or WTB, if you yourself are willing and able to provide the service.

In other threads, it'd be fine to suggest/recommend members.

Technically, this is not a call that just administrators can make. I will say that, generally, I've always thought tagging a seller into a relevant WTB/HAF thread was within the rules, but I can see how it's open to abuse. Maybe we need a rule clarification on this from @Diamond Damien.

Need to know someone about proxies? @proxygo it goes like that.

@Stewielenor - thanks for that, infraction incoming lols
im semi retired on a 2 year break, but always available for tips.

ive had 1/2 posts deleted over the years and not had an alert
but i fret not, worry not, care not. i understand that thread might
have been deleted, my reply not warranted. so best to just let
it go, no post is worth the hassle of whining

And has helped me on several occasions in his niche and would not accept payment.

Not brown nosing but doing what a lot of the members here do as we are here to lift one another up when we can.

When the tide rises all the boats rise.

This thread took so many turns I thought I was at Sonoma but still good stuff got aired and shared.

HAF and WTB - both live under a set of rules.
Currently referencing a fellow members services wouldn't be considered against the rules as long as you have the correct privileges to post there.

They are moderators with a reason, imagine if they explain to each of us when we fuck about all the time, will take more then actually managing the shit we make. Nobody is perfect, neither them, but let them do their work, and we, let's try to fuck about less as possible. Everybody's happy.

You can always report anybody via https://support.blackhatworld.com/support/home (if you report me, I will report you for reporting me!:smirk:)

I agree with that because there's some fucking idiot mods on this website.

I posted a response with answers to a question and had my answer deleted because I suggested my SMM panel. Quite shady since I know for fact my comment was deleted so that another panel can get ahead.
