There are various matters where people report posts or even if people don't report moderator take some action depending upon their instinct or following the rules.

My suggestion is to add mods name with his every action, it should be displayed to the related user.

Because, if a user think what a moderator did is something that never happened before, he should become able to reach respective mod for asking the reason or to clarify reason and if he didn't agree he should have mods name before reaching to support.

Deletion of one post can impact the whole related business. At least this should happen in case of paid members.

It should not be must to reply an OP as asked, answers can be different. If someone asking for PM, I should have right to mention other contact details. Because, it simply gives more opportunity.

Note: Not against anyone, but yes a feedback and a suggestion.

I'm the one that deleted your post as it was not in compliance with the request.

Comply with requests in the hire a freelancer or want to buy threads going forward please.

I actually could have given you a warning for advertising as that is exactly what you did there.

I agree with you, so it should be strict rule from here. I have never seen this before, every one when mentioned send me a PM, mostly mention their website, their skype, and other contact details apart from sending PM. So, that is same thing what I did.

When that happens and we see that we respond.

You merely were advertising there.

But I do like your idea that when an action is taken that you know which staff member took that action so you can learn from the action.

indeed! we should go for it.

The job of the moderators is to enforce the rules of the forum. Having to answer everyone's queries or outright arguments about the moderator's decisions on the forums takes away from the time they spend moderating the forum and enforcing the rules. Speaking just from my experience, offering support as a moderator can take up to 4 hours out of the day between responding to their messages, their threads, and even their support tickets as well.

The whole purpose of support is to provide you with these answers, so you should be going there if you need clarification. Don't forget that we also try to clarify the rules publicly in threads across the forum, especially the newbie guide, so that members don't have to contact support. Still, there are understandably a lot of rules on the forum, so if you're unsure about an action that was taken, you can either check the newbie guide, search the forum, or visit support.blackhatworld.com. As a bit of additional information, the support staff can see the moderator's username attached to any action and report. When a report is resolved/rejected or an infraction is issued, moderators almost always leave notes explaining their action that the support staff can refer to.

As for your suggestion, I can see why a genuine member would want to reach out to the moderator who took the action against them. The majority of members who contact me or respond to infractions are very understanding and simply just want to know more information on how they can abide by the forum rules. I like this, however there are still a lot of highly-combative members who are looking to challenge every decision staff members make via PM or through aggressive forum suggestions and feedback threads (I'm not referring to this thread, @Brilliant Digital Services). It's easier for them to argue with individual moderators on a personal level than it is to argue with an anonymous support agent, which results in messages like these:

1. A member who did not, at the time, understand the marketplace content standards prohibiting the use of the word "natural" to describe a service.

2. A member who didn't agree with an infraction for having an affiliate link (rule 4).

All of the staff members are a team, so if one of us takes an action, we all do as extensions of the forum owner. But, as humans, we can make mistakes, and when mistakes are made, we do not want an individual moderator singled out by the community. In the event of a moderator incorrectly taking action, we do reach out to the moderator in question and make appropriate changes to their actions.

I'll leave this thread open as I don't want to shut the discussion down.

That banned dude got me laughin so hard :D:D:D:D:D

We all get that now and then for merely enforcing the rules.

If the guy would have been more creative he may still have his account but the lack of creativity and the egregious abuse cost him his account.

Creativity works... abuse like that surely does not.

Indeed , people like thoes don't deserve to be here anyway.

Some members are just too much lol. It's okay to be annoyed with a mod decision, but it is not your site.. cmon. You have to comply by the terms.

That being said, I second the suggestion. It would be very nice to have. If anything, it will make the moderation system more transparent, which is always a good thing IMO.

I’m starting a toilet paper bst here, I’m going to be making millions considering the shit mods to clean they’ll buy from me constantly I’ll even give them a BHW mods discount

I completely agree with the op.

I have had posts liked by one mod deleted by an anonymous other!

I have had posts liked by multiple members then deleted by an anonymous mod because and I quote the reason "I don't agree with your crap!" Or sometimes no reason at all.

@Zwielicht is choosing to leave this thread open, maybe another mod would not have and therein lies the problem...

The problem with the enforcement is it is clearly subjective. So there is no comeback because you have no idea who deleted it or quite often no reasonable explanation why.

So in the same way members have to be accountable for their actions to both admin and other members, so should mods. If your confident in your actions own them don't hide! There is already a rule that if the mod gets abuse then ban the member who abuses them. Enforce it if the mod is abused for their decision. But don't use it as an excuse to hide.

Another option is rather than being able to see the mods name, there should be a report button on the alert you get when a post is deleted / or an action is made by a moderator.

This would help to ensure that the action can be reviewed by any member of the team who is available, rather than a specific moderator which helps to distribute resources more efficiently.

I wouldn't mind that actually. And I think he's got a point. So, I agree with OP. :)

Problem with that is it is the police policing themselves, that is not an open and transparent way to do things as it always gets brushed under the carpet.
