Does anyone have any experience with sport betting ? If yes where can I go to read up and learn who to bet on ? Or is it best to sell the picks instead ?

Yeah I do. I was perhaps not the most talented but I figured that my time was better spent elsewhere. Except if you find ways to automate your research, I was researching stuff all day long to have a good bet portfolios; at the end of the day you don't learn anything useful or that is scalable, and it comes with risks

Sports betting is like any other form of gambling

You can do your research and have a relatively solid idea of who's going to win.. but you really never know lol

I've also heard of people betting on Turkish soccer leagues (not the main one) because they know who's going to win

I used to be right into this a few years ago.
I'd use a few rules
I'd only bet on football and tennis. Something where there was a 50-50 result. I'd also never bet on anything I had a personal attachment to. Tennis I can't remember the sites I'd use but football I would use the below and had a lot of success with.
1. crowd sentiment. I use OLBG.com
2. Statistics - I'd use football form labs - best out there and if you have the cash footbe
3. make sure you have some rules in place. I never bet on anything paying under 1.33.
Happy to elaborate more, just send me a PM

Whatever you pick, you need to make sure you're good at it.

Matched betting is a better idea

Matched betting is a better idea

Made a living for a couple of years doing this. More limited than trading but nobody is going to hand you a winning trading strategy because it's a complete zero-sum game. If you live in a country where bookies are allowed to throw freebies at you then you can find an edge there.

Otherwise, it's the same as learning to trade on the Forex. Most people lose and the ones you're up against have been doing this a while.

If you're going into it with the mentality of making money, I'd advice against it.

There's a reason I can get a revenue share of up to 70% to refer someone to a betting site... 99% of people lose all their money overtime.

I'd recommend you to do exactly that instead; promote the casinos/bookmakers and get 70% of other peoples losses.

I'm personally developing a machine learning algorithm to predict outcomes of matches. Already have a script to gather data and things are looking good.

Dont try, really
Even if you lucky at first, on long distance you always lost

Same here. I've developed a system that I can use to get a consistent 10% ROI in the long run, but the problem is that I need to place A LOT of bets for this 10% number to translate into a meaningful dollar amount. To place that many bets, I need to spend hours on research on a daily basis. It's a lot of mechanical work that is pretty boring and returns aren't that exciting.

I enjoy video poker a lot more. I can take almost any amount of money no matter how small or large it is and make it last for hours. At the end of the day, I'll still lose my original budget because of the house edge and I like to take a risk, but at least I'll enjoy playing.

Thank you guys very much for the advice, reason I asked is because I know someone who according to him makes good money on it. He does sell picks though maybe his revenue comes from there who knows.

Do your research in probabilities, i hope you are good at math :)
Got some of my favorite researches in this field for you guys:

https://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/teaching/distinguished-projects/2015/m.sipko.pdf
http://cs229.stanford.edu/proj2017/final-reports/5242116.pdf

Offcourse there are more, and also other sports to bet on, but procedures stay the same. Find the elements that affect the probability and go for a lot off bets, instead of a lot profit per bet.
Tennis seems to be fairly easy to predict. It is not a team game (where a football team has at least 11 different players, against 11 other players.. This affect the accuracy of your probability a lot).

I hope you will learn a thing or two from these research papers, if you read them thorough you´ll be able to make your own strategy from them.

Happy predicting

I also found a website betting leaks 2.0 what do you guys think of them ?

Don't even start with it, please...

There're a ton of ways to make money without the need to go down that route. The best case scenario - you're going to lose a hundred and stop at that. Most gamblers end up having huge debts, bad health, and many other problems in life.
