This 100% does not surprise me, I have mentioned suspicions about Brave before.

Brave? I installed it, but that's about it. I have tried edge on and off.. It's not bad atall. I still have to use chrome and firefox heavily due to my job requirement.

Because using Edge makes Google angry. Don't use Edge or Google will be very very angry.

You know what angry Google means? Means they can't spy on you as much using Edge.
