Hey, hope I'm in the right section.

I got a site in the pet niche with about 2,500 monthly page views. My adsense earnings are REALLY low and RPM is sitting at about $1 per 1,000 pages views.

See images below for analytics and adsense

Is this normal?

I hear some people get $20-30 per 1,000 page views...how? I know niche has a big factor but still.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Mr Positive, I heard Ezoic/Adthrive/Mediavine are much better. But is my low RPM normal for Adsense?

It's normal, u are having very low traffic, you will see ur true rpm when you start getting 500 visitors per day. Although 1-4$ for 1000 pageviews is normal, usually most sites only hover around 1$. With ezoic your RPM will increase around 4x times when you compare it to adsense

Adsense is the shiitiest network out there, better to use ezoic or any direct affiliate or cpa. Test alternatives, you deserve better with that much traffic.

Just checked it out
3 TND = 1.06 USD

I get $1 per day with around 1k views and 20+- click,
I expected to earn much more before tbh,
does ezoic help if the traffic is international?

I'll be following this!

You're confusing pageviews and ad impressions.
CPM stands for 1000 impressions, not 1000 pageviews.
If you have 3 ads on each page, then 1000 pageviews equal 3,000 ad impressions.
This will make you $3 per 1000 pageviews.

$1 CPM is not bad!

I agree!

Just in case you look for alternatives I made this post: Top 100 Ad Networks - AdSense Alternatives

Thanks everyone. I would go with Ezoic or other ad network but my traffic is too low.

Another question...do you find Adsense auto ads out performs manual ads? It's looking like auto ads way outperforms manual ads in my tests.

RPM doesn’t depend on the niche, but on traffic performance.

Traffic performance can increase total revenue not RPM.

An entertainment website can not have rpm similar to travel website.

You’re wrong, it actually can. I work with the ads in a daily basis and probably on higher level than most of the users on this forum. The way the advertising works changed since 2010. Advertisers don’t just target specific niche and/or it’s not enough to have a specific keyword to have high CPC/RPM. Rates depend on many factors such as previous browsing history, social media, interests and so on. Website in auto niche can display dog food ads to one visitor and umbrella to another, this niche plays very little role on rpm.
