Sendy worth it?

Gonna try email marketing. So thinking to go with Sendy because it's cheap.

Have you tried it?

If yes, answer the following questions:

1) How's the delivery rate?
2) How's the support?
3) Too technical to setup?
4) Good practice if we buy a database and blast it with the same?

Interested too, but as I understand Sandy is a platform which sends emails via your own Amazon SES, and it doesn't have its standalone servers but anyway looking for other people thoughts on it

I was using sandy it is great tool but handling multiple email at same time become hectic for me so i switched on mailshake. But yes sendy is good

You still need an SMTP. I've used Sendy, I think its the best out of all the self hosted platforms Ive used

I have used Sendy in the past with Amazon SES. If you plan to send emails to scraped emails or bought databases, first clear the email list because Amazon will suspend your SES account in no time for incresed bounce rate!

Sendy and SES is a dirt cheap way to send emails, it's a great peice of software.

It is, if you know what you are getting into, patch it up with SES, it will bring all your marketing cost down.

Also, a good dude shared a nulled (read clean) version of Sendy in this forum, search for it.

Why not mailwizz?

Until and unless you are not sending to your subscribers or quality list of validated email its not a good idea to mess with SES.
You can check with people even if your bounce rate 2-3% there will be still issues. With sendy you dont have a choice other than SES, it's cheaper than any other SMTP for sure, but having options to use other SMP's will make your life much comfortable and easier.

My Opinion
For Direct Subscriber List - Sendy + SES
Any other Lists - Mailwizz + multiple SMTP's until you find the right one

I have used Sendy for a project. It's pretty good, inboxing rate entirely depends on domain reputation and list quality. If you are sending email to unverified list, verify it first. High bounch rate will limit your SES in a matter of day.

Sendy is perfect.
But sendy is a tool, so many things depend of your own usage.
A user of sendy can get 100% inbox, and an other can get 0%...depends of you on so many factors (emails, reputation score, ...)

So, as long as I clean the email list to a bounce rate of less than 2-3%, I should be good to use my scraped list? Not to sound too forceful, but is that your second hand knowledge or is that from personal experience?
