Here is a chance for some of us to vent and a chance for others to see an opportunity in helping other marketers be more productive.

What are the most annoying things in IM?

Who/what do you hate?

What stops you from converting?

What could be improved?

What tool is needed?

Where are your pain points?

That know it all "Guru" shit. If someone acts like one. I stay the fuck away from that person/site.
Actually I agree with this. This is worse than Google Updates.

Also members on BHW who ask what the best guru course is.

I love and hate all the different opportunities. I wish that I could do them all and sometimes it hurts productivity on the ones that are working.

Why would anyone spend their time on teaching if they had a model that worked.

Adds another revenue stream, that supplements their already mostly delegated business model.

I do agree that helping others is a great way to help yourself grow and improve your situation. I do love teaching too.

However, I have this sneaking suspicion that the methods taught are at saturation point and they hold back the good stuff.
I started wondering if all the Guides created by the VIPs in BHW are designed to keep the newbies busy and off their turf.
Or am I just being cynical?

So you wish you had an easier way to manage your existing methods to explore new opportunities?
Or it's a problem of focus or getting bored with the same old?

Where is the problem and have you found a solution?

Google updates. Without them I'd probably be sipping Piña Coladas on a beach somewhere while being fed grapes.
Just wait for the Piña Colada update version.

Can you please explain why the update affected you and what you do to compensate?

Is it that the BH methods were punished? Did you change your ways or find a new shortcut?

Haha, looking forward to that update. I'll get some Vaseline to prepare.

Well, some updates has killed some of my sites - Why? You gotta ask Google, but my answer would be so they can try and get me/other 'SEOers' to pay for their PPC ads.

To combat it I'm now running about 20 money sites rather than 1-2. If a few sites get hit, I have a more as 'backup'.

I also like to build 2-3 sites in the same niche (if it's a really good one), going for the same keywords, as backups + can split test what works/what doesn't etc. (One is BH, one is WH etc)

SEO still works and the ROI is great, but it's definitely getting darker/harder.

Dealing with newbie clients that think that building a few links to their sites will send them to the top of Google.

Classic.

You're saying it takes hard work - that doesn't sell ebooks or courses.

You think it's diversification that is key? Do you struggle to stay on top of it?
Do you need to be careful covering your tracks in the same niche?

Am I getting interviewed? Aight I'll just roll with it. :D

Haha, very true. Poor souls who buy guru courses...

Like the good old saying "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" (which I'm kinda doing since my traffic source is still Google organic, hah). You can make good money with one site in SEO, but I'd be sweating daily just waiting for an update to tear my ass. I'd just rather have more sites.

I'm not having any major issues staying on top of it. Backlinks, content writing and so on is outsourced so It's not bad. I feel like a "website manager", pretty chill. :p

Yeah, same as when building a PBN. Separate domain registrars/WHOIS info, separate hosts (or use CloudFlare), etc.

Can you please share how you source and manage these people?
I really struggle to find someone and it never seems to work out.

What are you looking for? Are you testing lots out?
Are you paying premium prices?
