Hey guys, I really dont dont what is going on here.

Yesterday, all my google rankings went Down as hell.

I was in the top #10 for more than 10 different keywords. Look at my position this morning for these same keywords:

Yesterday two majors events happened:

1- I got WAY more traffic than usual (x2 my normal average)
2- 10 pages of my site got indexed on this particular day.

2 great news for me but then BAM, Google hit me.

All of my pages are still indexed so I dont think I will go to the sandbox. Maybe I am freaking out for nothing and this might be the typical "Google dance".

My website has 1200 Backlinks that I have built manually over the last 2 months, nothing special here.

Any ideas why is this happening? :eek:

i had a site that did that also but jumped high on bing and yahoo so now i get more traffic then i did with just google with google my traffic jumped high then stoped then the next day traffic jumped high again from bing and yahoo
 
I don't think that has anything to do with your two events (traffic/indexing). It's probably Google dance and you should be back to normal soon.

I really hope so. It is really strange!

Habitually, google dont drop you that much.
 
Oh, I think I know why this happened.

I added the CPA*Lead Gateway to my site this week.

Could that be the reason?

The Gateway isnt blocking any pages at all, you have to click on a button to activate the gateway.
 
whenever i change my site's layout even a little, my ranking position was drifted back to page 2 or 3. after 2 or 3 days, it comes back to the position it belongs.

today, my traffic doubled too. it's pretty normal for me in this month. new algorithm is being applied.

i don't think cpa*lead gateway is the reason.
 
I too had a serious drop in my ranking dropped from #1 to 100 for one keyword and cant find myself for other keywords. The strange fact is that, the page which was at 1st position yesterday was a ezine article with no backlink and today it is back to 7th position. Hope that this dance ends soon and to get my position back.
 
Google really drop you that fast especially if for site is a blog.

Mine went to 200+ from 5th position from a 100k competition keywords with quotes. Now its back to top 20 and still trying to rank higher.
 
Well my site is not a blog! It's been three days now and I have not seen any improvement...grrr, what can I do..?
 
it could be anything. Today one of my site got bitchslapped by google as well. Lost many rankings for, I must admit, unlogical positions.

I think I found the problem.

10 pages of my site got indexed on that particular day. I was using the same <HEAD> in every pages. That means that EVERY meta tags on my site are currently the same. Big G doesnt like that, right?

Could that be the reason why I got penalized?

With google slow and steady wins the race. Tryusing no-follow tags on pr1-3 sites give it a week and then social bookmark.

Yeah, I learnt the hard way, Auto created Shitloads of backlink for a brand new Domain, Got Sandboxed about a week after I got indexed.

Same problem here. Was #3 for my main keyword then down to 186! Still hasn't came back up. Damn the Google Gods!

always "launder" your autogen spam links thru another site, unless its a throw away web2.0 property.
