Help me choose: Amazon vs. Clickbank??

I added a tag to my website (Amazon affiliate), but the commissions from the sales are really low. I was just exploring Clickbank, and it seems their commissions are generally higher and better. So should I go with Clickbank instead??

Any tips or warnings? Also, any other networks with high commissions (not adult or gambling or illegal stuff)?

There is a huge difference between clickbank and amazon affiliate. Clickbank need a lot of efforts etc to get sales but the comission is good and for Amazon u don't need a lot of efforts. Yes the comission in Amazon is low but what's good about it is it allow u not only to earn from the one product u are promoting but also if the buyer buy anything else in Amazon. Let's u have a niche specific site for example video games , since Amazon will pay a low comission it's better to go apply directly to companies affiliate programs in sites like shareasale or comission juction.

The thing is, with Amazon, I didn't promote a single product but put a tag which shows products based on the users' cookies (im assuming), and they have not been all that successful (low commissions)

I understand so in that case u should probably look into shareasale or CJ and apply for the affiliate programs u want beside that u can try clickbank

Amazon is almost for physical products, CB for digital product, choosing between Amazon and CB depends on your technics and your ability to promote each kind of products,
Btw you can combine between both of them, not obliged to promote Amazon and neglect CB or vice-versa

I have a huge list, but I don't intend to spam it with commercial stuff. Btw, which company do you use or recommend to do commercial emails? Almost all companies I used are against that (SendGrid, mailgun, MC, etc.)

No problem, Jesus . The difference between CB ,CJ and SAS it's that CB is limited but for CJ and SAS u can Apply in affiliate program of worldwide brands like Nike etc , also u may find some offers that may pay u not only per sale but per lead like grammarly but some brands are picky when they choose the affiliates so it's better to apply with a good looking website.

Amazon: high quality products, crappy commissions, that just became even crappier.

Clickbank: high commissions, mostly low quality products.

Personally, I love Clickbank. I've made money on there on and off for the past 10 years.

The products are so bad, yet convert so well with such a high commission I just can't seem to get enough of all the shitty products.

I've seen it all at this point

My personal theory is that Amazon will close down its affiliate program entirely or make it even worse in 3-5 years at most.

They just cut 50% of their commissions!

Amazon keywords are easier to rank in general though.
