Is Anyone Earning $ From Content ID Claims?

I was wondering if anyone here has experience making money from content id claims.

Does YouTube pay a similar cpm to if you had monetized through the partner program? For example if you would get $2 cpm in the partner program would you get a $2 cpm if you content id claimed a video with your music?

Yes, I’m doing it for six months already and the cpm is not the same, it’s lower. I’ve put my music with tunecore so there is few months delay in my reports so I can not tell for sure. Just now march report has arrived and for one videos with 100k views I’ve got $30. I have more than 1k videos all over youtube in different niches with content id found. You need to go with quantity to get decent money. In report, total views were app 5M and I’ve got $2,2k.

Yeah, that's very low compared to Adsense. Tunecore takes a 20% cut but still, that's much more than 20% lower than Adsense.

There is lot of other networks as well like routenote which allows you to put your music in yt cid for free and takes only 15% of your earnings.

I wonder why it's so much lower than AdSense. The same ads are running on the videos with content id monetization as with AdSense.

Do you know if there are other ways to monetize like MCN that give more $?

Ads don’t run so frequently as for ypp and depends of viewer geo and info. Also you need lots of views so ads will pop out more often and not just banner ads. More views on video means frequent ads.

You need to prove that you own or have right to use song to your distributor not to youtube. But some of them wont ask you for proof at all but you can get in trouble later if somebody find out that you use their songs.

Yes, I have channels in other niches dedicated to type of product I promote, videos are also with my music to maximize profit.
