Search Campaign Structure Approach

Hello marketers,

I am new to google ads and I have learned some techniques to run a campaign. I have mentioned some steps below for the Search campaign please tell me is it the correct approach?

1. Choose the right goal
2. Select the right bidding (if the campaign does not have enough data choose manual CPC).
3. Target a specific location if you are serving in a limited location.
4. Select the right keywords
5. Use phrase match and exact match type keywords
6. Create the ad groups according to those keywords.
7. Create compelling ad copies. 2 ETA ads and 1RSA ad at least
8. Use tracking template
9. Use relevant ad extension.
10. Choose the correct audiences like in market or affinity audience
11. Exclude demographic which is not relevant to business
12. Select bidding according to keyword
13. Setup conversion tracking
14. Setup remarketing tag
15. Use dayparting if needed.

There is no fixed approach to advertising. What's working for your business may or may not work for others.

So here, it is about create, implement, test and repeat until you succeed.

Coming to your point number #2 if you are new and adding manual bidding, your keywords may or may not getting traffic until you bid for the highest position. So as long as you have the data already, you may not choose manual. (This is not 100% true but happened with me when i started Google ads a long years back. So i switched to automatic bidding and started getting traffic and generated leads. Of course, later on, i filtered them and continuously added negative keywords which worked out pretty well for the account and then added more campaigns with new keywords with manual bid strategy.
