I am a teenager and I think I have adhd. I just can't get any shit done. I don't have focus, I can't focus on a computer screen for more than 2 hours and my eyes starts to hurt, I start getting tears, however I don't have that when I am on my phone, I can be on my phone all day. But distraction is still there, I try to do some work but then I procastinate and start using social media or Netflix, and if Netflix show isn't good then I can't even concentrate on it too lol. It's happening from last year , before that I was pretty good at focus and my attention was also quite good. Any tips? Should I take adderall? Does it really works? I want energy and increased neurotransmitters along with laser focus on important stuff like studies and IM. I have fatigue most of the time. In morning I get hyper active but only for some hours then the low enegry and fatigue starts to kick in again. It really sucks. I have to agree that my lifestyle isn't perfect either, I am obese, I sleep at night because my family disturbes me during the day and my internet is also slow. But I sleep right after eating something in the morning.

Adderall is not the answer, focus on working 30 mins at a time. Trust me you don't want to rely on adderall to work.

What if I only take it occasionally or when I really need it? I am not going to abuse it . I have already abused oxymetazoline. I am using those decongestants for a decade now.
Do not. Do you play games or smoke tobacco?
Yes I play video games, I like playing outdoor games too. I love going to gym but again i have energy and fatigue issues. I don't smoke or drink.

Hey! I actually take this every few days and would say that it’s helpful since I ALWAYS have trouble focusing on my tasks. Just remember to take care of yourself because you can lose appetite, etc. There’s a subreddit r/Adderall that can provide a lot of informative advice. If you really believe you have ADHD, go see a doctor and see what they can help you with. You will likely get prescribe with a small dosage and increase over time if needed.

I would suggest speaking to your family / general practitioner. They may prescribe you something and or do a referral to someone who can help. Sorry we can’t do much as we don’t know your history and most of us aren’t doctors :( good luck

Ask a doctor, if you really have adhd he can detect it. Don't just take random drugs, especially if you've previously had issues with aubstance abuse.

You're just lazy. Entertainment doesn't hurt but work makes you hurt, I mean come on..

Start planning your work in small steps.
Say yourself I’m gonna work 30 minutes, after that I will check my social media 5 minutes and repeat.

This is better than working 50 minutes and watching Netflix after that for 6 hours.

Adderall is great for productivity, but... you will pay the price later.

Think about it a bit like ... deal with the devil.
