Affiliate and Opt*In

Hi world,

Say, we're joining affiliate program.
Is that possible to promote affiliate link plus we can get Opt-In email address for ourself as an affiliate?

What I see so far is, the owner of the products is always the one who get the Opt-In (because it's included in their own sales letter).
Since, we're just follower (affiliate), we can't change the sales letter, especially if we just use the hoplink from clickbank.

Sometimes it's unfair, that affiliate who promote the product so hard, and at the end, the owner who get all the benefit (including Opt-In).

So, how do we get Our Own Opt-In?
Is there any way to get this?

Here are three options for you.

First you could just send your traffic to a squeeze page and get them to opt in before you send them to the merchants site.

Second you could create your own sales letter and cookie stuff the page so you can link directly to the merchants payment page.

Third you could simply send them to your site e.g. http://wealthy199.com/iframe.html and put a full screen iframe on the page and add a pop up optin form to collect email address etc...

Thanks for the idea. I also think the same way, with the exception of the last option. Here is what my thought is:

The first option, it's going to hit the affiliate hard, if they are promoting with Ad*Words or PPC. Once they click it and see the squeeze page, most likely the first thing that they are going to do is either Go Back or Close the Squeeze Page. So basically the advertising cost is going to be high and the conversion will be low.

The second option, is it legal to copy paste the owner's sales letter to our affiliate site, if they don't give us any PLR or Master Right?
Moreover, if we change a bit the content of the owner's original sales letter, is that also legal?

The third option, is this method the combination of option 1 and 2? Since option 1 we provide the pop-up opt-in page and option 2 we copy paste the content of the original website.

To me, the second option is the best one. But, I doubt whether it is legal or not (regarding to the copyright, etc).

In regards to the second option I wasn't meaning just copying and pasting the merchants sales letter and adding your own optin form (although that could be done - not legally though), I was meaning to create your own sales letter and just send your traffic to the merchants payment page when they click pay.

Honestly there is no need to worry too much about copyright laws when it comes to things like this. If you're sending the merchant a sale he's not gonna care how you do it (most of the time).
