Today NameCheap blocked one of my .io domain which had semi nsfw content. I have contacted them, they said the rgistry did it, and when the contact the registry they said they don't allow pornographic content on .io domains. SO now the question is I have googled a lot putting "keyword obviously nsfw" .io and found a lot of .io domains involved in hardcore porn. And all of them are atleast old a year or two or more. Some of them hosted with godaddy and some with others. Now I am unable to understand why the hell they blocked my domain only..? Can someone please explain about this.

Maybe it is a new policy that doesn't apply to old domains?

Always buy your domain from Njal.la (not affiliated), it's quite expensive but overall will help you avoid domain suspension, try to buy from Njal.la. It's what I suggest to avoid that.

You can buy from EasyDNS, TodayNIC it will be more cheap, but I suggest you to go with Njal.la and you will avoid being suspended

You can give a try also, flokinet.is

I don't think if they manually check all domains to see if it complies to the rules. Probably someone has reported your domain. Either your competitor or namecheap themselves could've done it.

But the thing is I saw a hardcore porn review site theporndude.io is registered with namecheap and running without any issues. But don't understand why the hell they suspended my domain only. I tried calling .io registry but they didn't answer me. They said that they will only answer to namecheap not the domain owner directly. Poorn namecheap very bad service.
