Best Niche Research Methodology in 2020?

Hello Marketers, Hope so you are doing well even in the harsh global times.

We are halfway through 2020 and as someone who has been on this site for 2 years now, I feel that it's high time that I need to take action. So recently I read few threads over here and I am detemined to start my blog.

Now the issue I face is finding a profitable niche in the long run of let's say atleast 3 years. I think there's no niche that's not explored by marketers and SEO specialists. So I am sure that competition will always be there which ever niche I tap into. The only thing I can stay alive through this competition is top notch content.

I would like blogging experts to help new beginners to explain best niche research practices in 2020.
If there are any pre-existing threads that drive this point home, then you can plz drop it here.

I have already searched for threads here related to this but it's getting very confusing for me to classify what's right and wrong.

I'll just post some tips here.

Main keywords are already dominated most of the time. Keep the eye on long tail keywords and the trends that pops up every now and then, target them and post. Recommended to use a premium keyword research tool like Semrush. There are free options as well like Ubersuggest.

Use a SEO plugin as well like, Yoast SEO. It will help you measure the SEO score when creating posts.

The internet is over-saturated, and most people look for micro-niches to avoid competition. In my opinion, you should have clear goals before exploring niches. The basic aspects of any goal in IM are time & money. So, you should start with a target income and timeline to grow your site into a profitable business.

Once you know how much to make, then you need to find the ways to get money. There are several options like ad revenue, affiliate income, paid guest posts, selling your own products etc. This is the most difficult part of the process which most people don't talk about.

Once you figure out how much to make and the source of income, then you need to think about options that attract the target audience. By this time, you already know what audience have to do to bring you profits. Next you need to find a niche that is interesting to the target audience and encourages them to take action.

You either need long term users or short term product buyers. For example, if you earn money from financial advice, then you need to build a site for long term where users associate it with trust. If you want to promote affiliate products in weight loss niche, you need clickbait articles to quickly sell a product to potential buyers. In short, you need a hook that's perfectly designed for the fish you're baiting for. Some niches require a lot of hard work but won't get you even moderate income, so it's not always wise to start a site in a niche that you like.

I am a student and was just here without any proper aim or stuff, just kind of understanding what people do here... Now that I am determined to do something of myself, starting to understand each and every step in blogging field.. so Its better if you appreciate for starting unlike just putting a demotivating comment here
