hey guys ,
i was searching for a thread in which someone discuss if micro niche sites still work or no and i did not find it , so here is one :) :D

do you think they are still profitable since creating an authority site is not possible for everyone (Budget problems for instance ) ? and if yes how do they work the best now , i am sure churn and burn doesnt work that much now with the seo updates
thank you

Of course they are.

What traffic source are you talking about? I can see it work in any form of traffic, and can confirm it works well with SEO.

I actually saw better rank positions with micro niche sites than bigger "authority" sites.

thanks for replying :) !
umm i dont have a particular source in my mind but i guess most of people work with seo (fb ads too )
so you think it is all about finding a niche that works well ?
my idea is to montize them with adsense or AM ,but i have this fear that at any moment they could get dropped of search engines by some google update

Micro niche sites will work for life if you have a big budget and scale up, 10 micro niche sites is nothing, if you have like 200 that will cost around $2000 per year and after that $100 per month for a Dedicated Machine for Hosting and all you need is each one to generate you $0.50 per day.

The best part, if you know what you do, you can get your investment back in 2 months for domains and pay the hosting upfront for a year, if you make each one earn you $0.50 per day. Imagine if you reach to $5 per day per site.

No they're dead. It's all about authority now.

Your microniche site vs an authority site on a same keyword, content, backlinks.

Which do you think will rank better?

Microniche worked with EMD were a thing

Cant help but thinking this is becoming the truth since the last Google Update.

I can literally confirm that my 2 micro niche sites ranked over my "authority" site for the same exact keyword (as I normally build 2-3 sites pey keyword/niche I want to rank for). The authority site had a much bigger backlink budget too.

So... yeah.

EDIT: Also on the EMD thing: I also tried EMD VS branded domain for same keyword. Branded worked better. Same content length and quality, same backlinks, same niche.

I'm saying EMD is dead and microniches worked back in the days when EMD was a thing.

You probably had better content + related links w/e. budget means jack all if not used properly

Is it just me or does "adding fresh content" do absolutely jack shit?

at times it can take your rankings down, at times it can shoot your links to the top I cannot guarantee what will happen so you need to try and test it

Everything from content length, content quality, to backlinks was exactly the same. The authority site just covered more topics and have 10-20x the content on it.

And you're saying my EMD site that is making money as we speak is dead? I'm confused.

i'm also trying to make income with micro niche, i see this still works even with emd, they get traffic

I think it all depends on the keywords. I have a site with an EMD and 5 articles that are 500 words each. I haven’t built a single link.

I get 4-5000 pageviews a month. The highest ever was around 10,000 pageviews in a month but that was because of COVID related searches.

i heard google jhon muller said, it doesnt matter tld or domain name, content matters, site structure matters

Yes, it still works, quality content is most important
