even i have seen a website with 3 content that too outdated but still having 100k traffic. I think site owner passed away while making money

There could be multiple reasons.
1) I've seen sites ranking within 2 months if the keyword competition is super duper low.
2) It could be that they built it on an auctioned domains, these domains usually do not have a long sand box period.
3) Maybe they are super lucky?

The word "high" is relative. What do you mean by it? A few hundred unique visitors? Thousands? Millions?
And how are they getting it: They probably rank for the keywords. Basically all the information are on ahrefs, you can check what keywords they are ranking for, when they started ranking for it etc.
How did they get ranked? Ask Google. Google is doing some weird shit these days. For some niches its absolutely random. It might be only temporary.

If they’re on ahrefs they’re not Pbn they maybe using pbn, and did you check for which keywords they’re ranking for
