In general yeah
Example: using a view bot to get views->hurt certain ratios/numbers in the algorithm->when done multiple times your accounts authority ranking goes down->you got a dead account
Granted there are certain things that can help but be smart about it and use it as a "booster" if anything when videos are newly launched perhaps

Follow/unfollow done correctly is fine. Buying followers and views is instantly detected. Make sure to only use a quality bot or do it yourself.

Mass D'ming at rapid succession will lead to shadow banning you from sending further messages. I can't tell how many messages exactly will lead to this, but it's been my experience.
