100% nope, not in long term. Might get the herd jumping on at the start but wont last very long.
People have always been buying karma outside of Reddit so has always had monetary value. If they want people to buy/sell karma inside the platform they dont need crypto, its just a gimmick.

There are scams for sure but cryptos are just a thing we trade. People scam in every niche.

If you can convert karma to crypto, there will be even more bullshit stories on Reddit. A damn trollfest. Think it might fuck up the site longterm.

It's already fucked up long term as it is. Might as well make it fun and profitable.

Keep my eye on all cryptocurrencies that are created by social platforms or communities. Nothing works yet. But interesting.

There's been a bunch of coins meant for social media, like redd and doge, but this one might fly with Reddit oficially behind it.

If they allow converting karma to crypto, a lot of members here will become rich. In my opinion, even if they decide to do so, they will limit it to aged accounts like 4-5 year old accounts.

That's the idea.

There is some serious bot traffic and the user experience is going down, tremendously. Too much drama. Too much censoring. Too much circle jerking.
