I heard good things about OGAds, but never tried them. Content locking works fine with pretty much any push notifications ads traffic source, Propellerads is one one of them. It's just a matter of testing and finding the winning creative+lander+offer combination.

If you're asking how much I spend on testing: my general rule is to spend 1x offer payout, per angle (per lander), but not less than $10, because then you gather enough data. So when test 3 landers for 1 offer, you should spend $30 per campaign. If your budget is low and you test low-payout offers, like $1, then you can do economy version - spend ~$5 per angle.

Yes, definitely. Direct linking doesn't work these days (or works very rarely). Secondly, you need to 'warm up' your visitor with the landing page - explain the visitor what step-by-step what they need to do on the offer page etc. I strongly suggest you to learn about blackhat techniques / cloaking as without it it's hard to have nice ROI. For me white hat doesn't work - I get barely positive ROI, while with cloaking 100% ROI happens pretty regularly to me.
Landing pages with survey or game work really well for sweepstakes.

When you cloak in pops or push notifications ads, you use landing page normally - no need to cloak anything. But you need to be compliant - use white hat landing page. When you cloak, then you use 2 landing pages:
1. first landing page is a nice white hat / compliant page that affiliate network and traffic source see
2. second page is a black hat page where you can put pretty much anything you want and it's visible only to your visitors. This page can have famous brand logos, can look like a government page, promoted by a celebrity etc. (Well, this is BLACKHAT ) Basically a page that would never be allowed by aff network or traffic source.
You need a cloaker (cloaking software) for this. I recommend trafficarmor.com (cheaper for push) or magicchecker.com (cheaper for pops).

The beauty of push or pop networks is that they're usually don't give a sh*t that you cloak - profit is what matters. Unlike super-restrictive Facebook or Google that destroys your SEO efforts once a while.
