Tried a linkwheel and my website dropped ! !

H guys

few weeks a go i tried to rank for a keyword and i built a linkwheel for that purpose,

a week later i got to the 3rd spot for the chosen keyword and it was 50k compitition and i was totally hooked ! but t's just a metter of days and my website desapeared from the first 100 pages and did not came up again !! so ... the conclusion is, linkwheels did not work any more ! is this the case with everybody or it's just me ?

Hey guys !

To answer your questions :

- No, i outsourced teh content so it's 100% uniqeu and quality because it was my first kind of serious try with link wheels so i wanted to make it perfect,

- No i didn't over spam, created a propretie and gave it a few bookmarks and pinged it and this is it,

- My domain has been created back in aprile so it's around 7 months old, and it's already got a couple of hundred links from difrent sources,


It seems that linkwheels aren't working any more for puching sites but the web 2.0 propreties are still ranking high and you can use them directly to promote the stuff you want which is good too .

I dont think that linkwheels dont work, I use my own 'linkwheel' method that is very effective.

Shitty throw away backlinks dont hold much weight, thats always been the case.

You put link on your web2 parasite, web2 property gets spidered, your link gets spidered, you get listed.

Now, your parasite holds no weight, so next spider comes, no more juice for you!

Juice up your linkwheel properties and watch the effectiveness amplify!

Ok, but what if i want to use only web 2.0 propreties to promote stuff like many people are doing, how can i do it effectivly since a lot of people are saying that linkwheels are dead but web 2.0 are still ranking high and getting traffic and works perfectly for promotion, i'm thinking about finding a group of low cop keywords and use web 2.0 to rank for them, how can i do this properly ?

Point links to web2 site A
Perhaps use web2 properties to build those links?
Point web2 site to whatever u want(your site or affiliate page)

Now setup web2 site B and rinse and repeat


Its not that it dont work, its just that if you do the sameas everyone else, it wont work

Why not try linkwheeling Web2 site A, then call that "My Web2 Power House" and make a bunch of them.

Keep your Web2 power house genuine and legit(new content and community interaction), and it will work well for boosting juice to future domains/affiliate offers

So you're saying open linkwheels will perform better than closed linkwheels??
I don't know but I'm not saying you're wrong. Can someone confirm this?? If this is the case then I'll need to follow this course for linkwheeling.

Anyway, host32, how many web2.0 did your linkwheel builder build per day? Maybe Google didn't like the sudden increase.....although you mentioned you didn't link-spam, so I doubt this was the case, but the info will be helpful.

I have always wondered about all these black hat tactics. If linkwheels do get you canned by Google, then I'd gladly do linkwheels on my competitors who are ranking higher than me.

Like right now I have a site that makes over 3k a day ranking #3 on first page. I could easily spend $10,000 to build like 100 link wheels to kill my competitors, heck I can spend more if they do really kill the competitors.

Any thoughts on this approach?
